Fury Lacrosse is now accepting Coaching Applications for the 2026 season.

Our coaches are leaders, mentors, and role models. They help shape not only skilled lacrosse players—but confident young women who love the game.

Coaching Opportunities Available

Applications are open for the following divisions:

U7 | U9 | U11 | U13 | U15 | U17 | Fury Select (competitive travel pathway)

Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles are available across divisions. 

What We’re Looking For

We value coaches who demonstrate:

  • A positive, athlete-first approach

  • Strong communication skills

  • Commitment to fair play and development

  • Willingness to learn and collaborate

  • Respect for club policies and league guidelines

Coaching experience is an asset but not required. Attitude, commitment, and leadership matter most.

Expectations & Commitment

Coaches are expected to:

  • Attend practices and games for their assigned team

  • Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and the club

  • Support evaluations and development initiatives

  • Complete required certifications and screening

Detailed role expectations will be shared during the selection process.

General Coach Requirements (All Levels)
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • All coaches must be registered in RAMP
    • This step must be completed prior to attending any floor session (including evaluation floor time)
  • All coaches on the bench (Head and Assistant) must meet certification requirements
  • Coaches may complete one certification course per season
  • First-year coaches must begin with Community Development
  • Coaches showing “In Training” in their NCCP Locker for courses taken 2019-present remain eligible to coach (known NCCP / Lacrosse Canada issue)

U7 - U13 Coaches
  • Making Headway in Sport
  • Understanding the Rule of Two
  • NCCP Emergency Action Plan
U15 - U17 Coaches
  • Understanding the Rule of Two

  • NCCP Emergency Action Plan

  • Safe Sport Training

  • Mental Health in Sport

These modules are free, completed online through NCCP, and can be started now, pre-season.
 
Important Update - Making Ethical Decisions (MED)
All coaches (U7-U17) require MED for the 2026 season.
Effective April 1, 2026:
  • MED will move to an exclusive NCCP eLearning format
  • Completed through The Locker
  • Cost: $85
Transition Period (2025)
  • SPAR will continue the current online MED training until March 15
  • Cost: $45 - HERE
  • Online evaluation must be completed by March 31 (free)
  • After March 31, the current online training and evaluation will no longer be available and will move to The LOCKER
